Mission:

Through empowerment, friendship, awareness and education, The Global Sisterhood strives to change the culture that allows sexual abuse continue.

Vision:

The Global Sisterhood envisions a world where children are safe and a respected part of the community; where girls feel good about themselves for who they are and we, as a global community, actively support them in all of their endeavors.

Core Values and Beliefs:

Equality:

All people are equal regardless of gender, race, religion, culture, socioeconomic status or sexual orientation.

Empowerment:

By breaking the silence, girls learn that by helping themselves, they also strengthen others. Friendship, awareness and education engenders self-esteem and healing.

Advocacy:

The Global Sisterhood acts as a voice for young girls and then encourages them to develop their own voice.

Diversity:

The girls that are part of The Global Sisterhood are not simply victims of sexual violence. They are individuals from all walks of live and they are survivors. They all need different things in order to heal and these differences need to be acknowledged, respected and honored.

Respect:

All people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. The Global Sisterhood helps girls make decisions for themselves and encourages them to treat others with kindness and empathy.

It is our sincere hope and belief that the girls that have graduated from our program will be better equiped to make healthy decisions, keep themselves safe and do wonderful things out in the world.
